ISSUES & ENDORSEMENT (QUESTIONNAIRES)

When you receive your official voter guide, you’ll read my ballot statement: “I’m running with the Million Votes for Peace Campaign, in 1999 I sued the CIA for the crack cocaine infestation in South Central and in 2004, I helped coordinate Proposition 66 to amend California’s Three Strikes Law.  I will guide the legislature to represent the people, not corporations and special interests.  Don’t be fuelish - stop voting for oil companies at the gas pump.  Stop Global Warming and keep California competitive in science/medical research.”

I’m not afraid to put it out there!

Republican Tom McClintock wants the 3 Strikes Law to stay “as is” sending thousands of nonviolent offenders to prison for life.  I want to end the death penalty, McClintock wrote the state's lethal injection death penalty law.  I want to end the prison industrial complex electing instead to rehabilitate, McClintock wants to build more prisons.

The Democrat, John Garamendi, won’t disclose his stance on California’s 3 Strikes Law, the Death Penalty, or the Prison Industrial Complex.  In fact, the Drug Policy Forum of California said John Garamendi has no discernible record on marijuana or drug reform issues such as marijuana decriminalization, medical marijuana, hemp, Three Strikes reform, and student drug testing.

To McClintock’s credit, he’s one of the few in his party to hold libertarian views on medical marijuana.  If that means he feels medical marijuana should be legal and users not harassed by the authorities, then that’s one of the few drug reform issues both McClintock and I agree on.

I looked for the following issues on both McClintock’s and Garamendi’s websites (Tom McClintock’s website is http://www.tommcclintock.net/;  John Garamendi’s website is http://www.garamendi.org/) and found little but what I did find, I present here.  And if you want to see what questions were asked by groups like Southern California Americans for Democratic Action (SCADA), the Sierra Club, and others, click on endorsement questionnaires above. You’ll see my answers to the questionnaires.

The Best You Can Do in This Election (Is to Tear the System Down)

When a system fails at every turn, the best you can do is tear the system down and build it again. Government auditors give this advice to defense contractors making billion dollar weapon systems for the United States government, and this is the advice this former DoD (Department of Defense) auditor gives to the American people.

Divestment from Israel for Human Rights by GP.org

A stable and just resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict depends upon the full realization of the human rights of the Palestinian and Israeli peoples. Under current conditions, the Palestinian people are unlawfully denied all their individual rights, the right to self-determination, and specifically, the right of the Palestinian refugees to return to their homes. Neither are Israelis guaranteed personal or national security.

Greens Present Solution to Prison Crisis

By Michael Wyman, Green Party Candidate for Attorney General & Donna J. Warren, Green Party Candidate for Lt. Governor

Less than two years after Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger defeated Three Strikes reform (Proposition 66) by telling the lie that "26,000 violent criminals would be released into your neighborhood,” the governor called for a special session of the Legislature to address prison crowding and recidivism.

Gelded Donkeys: Why the Democrats Are Worse Than Useless by Robert Freeman

In the Sherlock Holmes mystery, Silver Blade, it was the dog that didn't bark that fingered the killer. As Holmes explained to Watson, the reason for the silence, even as the victim was being murdered, was that the dog must have known the killer - its own master. Voila! Mystery solved.

Credit Card Scam from Chase/United

How many people has this happened to?  I have excellent credit but I have a loan at 8.5% from Bank of America so I took Chase/United up on their offer and transferred a balance of $9,000 at 3.74%.  This is a scam!  I inadvertently missed a payment, and so I am now being charged 18.24% on the $8,000 plus balance.

What's Black, Green and Not Yet Over?

Donna Warren wants African-American voters to defect from the Democrats.

DONNA WARREN RECALLS THE EXACT MOMENT OF her political conversion with both the pragmatism and spiritual fervor that the phrase implies.

It was 1992, and Warren was attending one of countless community forums held across South-Central during the long, gray aftermath of the civil unrest.

Crusade against the CIA

Did the Central Intelligence Agency really encourage a crack cocaine epidemic in Los Angeles in the 80s?

That's what Donna Warren, whose son was a victim of the drug wars, intends to prove in court.

The Guardian
Sept. 16, 1999

'It's not easy taking on the CIA," says Donna Warren. "But I'm not afraid of them because I've already lost my son to crack and he was one of the people I cherished most in the world. What can they do to me now?"

She throws back her head and laughs a slightly reckless laugh.
