Bio of Donna Warren for Lt. Governor

Donna Warren is running as a member of the Million Votes for Peace - MVP - slate.

For the last fourteen years, she’s supported human rights and social justice struggles in Los Angeles starting with Mothers ROC and "the Free the LA 4+ Defense Committee" in 1992, and then moving on to serve on The Geronimo Pratt Defense Committee, The LA Unemployed Council, The Crack the CIA Coalition, The South Central Coalition, The National Alliance Against Racist & Political Repression (NAARPR), and FACTS (Families to Amend California's Three Strikes).  She's also the president-elect for the Los Angeles Chapter of the Association of Government Accountants (AGA)

She recently served as the secretary to the Pacifica National Board who’s sister station is KPFK, 90.7 FM.

Donna made headlines in 1999 when she sued the CIA and the Department of Justice for “allowing” crack cocaine to infest in her South Central neighborhood.  Contact Donna for a copy of the lawsuit.  In 2004, she served as the field coordinator for the Prop 66 Campaign to amend California’s Three Strikes Law to violent felonies only.

Donna retired from the Department of Defense in June 1996 and is a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM).  She’s a native of Los Angeles and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University at Los Angeles.  Donna has a daughter and a son (who was killed by the drug wars), 3 grandchildren, and lives in Los Angeles.
